HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
Send me a contact form with details about your booking and I’ll get back to you in 1-2 days. After you sign an electronic contract and pay the 30% non-refundable reservation fee, I’ll book your date on my calendar.
I always like to meet you beforehand and we can do that also before the booking. It’s important for us to connect to feel relaxed and enjoy each other’s company so that it shows in the photos.
WHERE DO YOU WORK?
I live in Helsinki but I love to travel and photograph further away as well both in Finland and abroad. I have travelled and photographed in more than 40 countries and I can both adapt quickly to new places and find perfect photography locations anywhere I go.
HOW LONG DO YOU SHOOT?
An all day documentary wedding photography lasts roughly 12-14 hours. I can stay as long as needed, up to 16 hours.
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET?
The amount of photos depend on the time I shoot. Of an all day documentary session I will submit roughly 500 photos.
HOW DO WE GET THE PHOTOS?
I submit the photos with a private online gallery that you can then edit and share with your guests. I send you a few sneak peek photos within two days of the wedding and rest in 2-4 weeks.
WHAT CAMERA DO YOU USE?
I have two professional camera bodies, Sony A7r III and Canon 5D mkIV, a set of different prime lenses that take great photos even in the dark, a few all-use zoom lenses and the necessary flashes for those backlit night time portraits and awesome dance moves from later in the night.
WHAT KIND OF RIGHTS DO WE HAVE TO THE PHOTOS?
The client has full rights to share and print photos for their own use. When sharing the photos in social media I wish to be mentioned or my respective social media account to be linked to the photo. The copyright stays with me and rights to submit photos into competitions and to use them in my own webpages and social media. Giving or selling the photos to a third party needs to be agreed on by both me and the client.
HOW DO WE PAY?
The bill is divided in two. With the first payment you book the date and the second part comes due after the wedding and before I send you the photo gallery. Both bills are invoiced electronically.
WHAT’S THE BEST TIME TO SHOOT PORTRAITS?
If the portraits are taken on the wedding day it’s best to save at least an hour and a half before or after the wedding ceremony. Or we could split the session into two and shoot both before and after the ceremony. In the winter time in Finland it’s good to check the daylight hours to have natural light in the photos. Sunset offers an amazing light to shoot some intimate portraits and have a little get-away moment just for the two of you. The wedding portraits can also be shot on an other day in which case I’ll offer a -30% discount for the SPEC couples’ photoshoot.
WHAT DO YOU EAT AND DO YOU DINE WITH THE GUESTS?
I prefer eating vegetarian or fish option. A seat is not necessary but if a seat is a vailable it’s better to position it a to an end of a table a bit farther so I can easily move and photograph even during the meals.
