Oh my, the South Italian masserias have been something I’ve drooled over in architectural blogs and so it was such a delight to get to photograph two weddings in two different masserias in Puglia in June of 2022. That combined with amazing Italian food and two beautiful wedding couples with their dearest and closest partying the night away under the open starry sky made my visit to Italy an experience to remember. I hope to get to travel there many times again.

I was invited over to photograph by two talented wedding photographers from Lato Photography. Laura and Tommy usually photograph weddings together but in June their first born came into this beautiful world of ours and so Laura decided to stay home and Tommy either photographed the weddings alone or invited another photographer to join him to second shoot for him. And in June on this trip to Puglia that other photographer was me.

This blog post showcases the second one of the two weddings. It was hosted in one of the nicest masserias around Puglia according to Tommy and even though I haven’t seen more than two of them, I have to say that this place stole my heart. Masseria Potenti is an amazing complex of buildings all tied together by massive white walls that together form a great courtyard in the middle. There’s a fantastic restaurant, rooms for the wedding couple and the family and guests, an inviting swimming pool and beautiful olive gardens around the venue. A perfect place for a wedding.
